PERFORMANCE DESCRIPTION:

Always on point. Always with a social idea on its lips. Always on the side of the weak.He noticed early on that there was something wrong with the world. As a child, he spent time on the three terraces of his garden. Johnny, who grazed cows, had access only to the lowest one. He didn’t understand why he was getting an education and getting smarter, while Johnny was „rubbing shoulders with people with what culture, and all that culture condemned him to be a fool.”For communists not communist enough. For patriots not patriotic enough. For leftists too noble. For nobles too proletarian. Can we still learn social sensitivity from him today? We invite you to a performance about the man. A leftist out of necessity, who always walked straight, although all around him everything was burning.

EXCERPTS FROM A REVIEW:

In Julia Mark’s production, which tries to balance all the important themes and motifs of Broniewski’s life, the poetry quotes are the noblest part. The director constructed her performance with iron consistency and discipline, filled it with rhythm and concentration so that the audience seemed to absorb the words flowing from the stage like the most carefully composed music.
